Young Adult Club
MISSION STATEMENT- To Spread the goodness of GOD Everywhere we go; (Psalm 34:8) and to speak of his Greatness and Power! (Acts 4:33)
Keeping ourselves Aware and Prepared at all times (1Thessalonians 5:5-6) to crush the head of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11-17) and to hold up the Blood-Stained Banner (Revelation 18:24) till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1John 2:28)
Young Adults – Our young adult club is headed by Minister Pat Kalaboke and his wife Sister Allyson Kalaboke. They are driven by the Lord to give our youth the understanding how to be holy in today’s society. We know the world has a lot to offer, and kids and teens like to stay busy, so we provide a safe, fun and exciting environment to keep them an active part of our ministry. Our goal is to teach them to be excited in the Lord, while standing strong in righteousness. We put importance on responsibility, not only in the church, but at home and school as well, and teach them all-around life skills using the word of God as our guide. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Young Adult Club events include:
Rap Sessions – Today’s youth have a lot going on in their minds. Most of the time they don’t feel as if they have anyone they can talk to. We provide a safe, private environment for them to come together with their leaders and just talk. The boys meet with Minister Pat and the girls meet with Sister Allyson and they are free to discuss what’s on their minds.
Super Saturdays – These provide an opportunity for the youth to get out of the house! It’s a chance for them to be free to have fun and fellowship with each other. And to learn how to have freedom from worldly hang-ups.
Fundraising – We strive to teach our youth the importance of self-sufficiency and responsibility. They get the opportunity to get out in the community and really work together as a team to reach their goals so that they can enjoy themselves in the unity of the spirit. It’s also a great way of teaching them how to work together. “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3
Outings – With their hard earned fundraising our youth get to go on special trips! There are fun day trips and also overnight ones. These give the youth the chance to build a trusting relationship with their leaders and also a great opportunity for the leaders to get to know the youth! They are encouraged to really be themselves and have fun in the Lord.
